Looking for inspiration?
Have a look at the two OCR exemplar blogs - one was completed in 2009, the other 2010 - the links are in the AS blog list. They were used on an INSET session with media studies teachers - they are examples of good evaluations which exploit the form of the blog effectively.
Also look at a really strong exemplar from one of our own - Sam Paterson (now in Year 13). He achieved a high level 4 mark for his evaluation.
Remember to get a level 4 mark for the evaluation you need to:
Level 4 16–20 marks
Excellent understanding of issues around audience, institution, technology, representation, forms and conventions in relation to production.
Excellent ability to refer to the choices made and outcomes.
Excellent understanding of their development from preliminary to full task.
Excellent ability to communicate.
Excellent skill in the use of digital technology or ICT in the evaluation
