Year 12 Work for Friday, December 2nd

We will both be absent today so here is some work to be getting on with....

I have left the number 1 laptop stack key with Mrs Hogg and I have asked her to give it to media students so that you can access all the other laptops. Please return them to the stack when you've finished and put them on charge. All the laptop keys bar number 1 should be stored in the number 1 bay. Give key 1 back to Mrs Hogg at the end of the second session.

Task 1:

You need to start finalising your idea for your own film opening. Even though you http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifare just producing the start of the film you will need to have an idea of the whole story and understand the key conventions of the genre(s)you are working in/seeking to challenge.

We'd like you to write a synopsis for your whole film. Check out the following website for a simple how to guide....

Task 2:

You will need to conduct some research into your target audience. In order to do this you will have to understand who you think your potential audience is. Link this back to the work we did on Monday on mainstream/mainstream plus/aficionados/buffs.
Now create a clear audience profile for a typical member of your intended audience - again think back to the ones you did when we looked at audience profiling.

If you get all that done you can start to plan your approach to researching your audience in as creative a way as possible - if you can avoid questionnaires so much the better.

We'll see you all next week.....happy blogging.

Mrs B.

ps For the audience profiling perhaps some of you could team up with Georgie, Billy, and Jordan and explain what we covered on Monday.
